new jewelry, some "purdy" things
this weekend, i made these... crocheted bracelets from a tutorial on a craft website. pretty, No? this is a great way to while away the hours..... which i did, making these little beauties... also saw a salamandar on the floor behind my craft table.... no doubt trying to see if he could fit one over his body. i don't blame him. these were super fun. i learned to crochet on YouTube. who woulda thunk it?
Hi! I'm Veronica from Mauritius. The bracelets are so cute. Could you please post the link for the tutorial about how to make them. Thanks! Have a nice day.
Hi! Thank you for the link. I'll try crocheting to make bracelets. I've never crocheted metal before. You are from the US, right? Where do you buy the raw materials from: beads, wires,.. etc?
Yes, Sandi, they really are purdy!! I love your site and blog. As for the salamander..YIKES! I don't like 'em. It must have been a girl salamander checking out all your cool jewelry.
i get wire from michaels craft store here in my town. you can also go online to these websites: www.createforless.com www.shipwreck-beads.com www.joann.com
this website came to fruition when i was in a zombie like haze from fatigue and exhaustion working all week. this kinda thing is sort of like being a bit drunk. there are things you don't normally do, like drunk dialing, calling your mother, ex boyfriend, or Canada. i just decided i wanted a website. so here it is. and no, i didn't try calling Canada.
i love to create, in almost any medium. i love color, and probably wear too much of it at one time.
i will try any crafting project once, and don't like to pigeonhole myself by having just one hobby. i will say that i revel in re using found objects, especially things from Goodwill, resale shops, the side of the road etc. chances are, if you have a pair of socks you don't want, i could probably make a car out of them. i know it sounds cliche', but i love to make stuff and build stuff. i once built a butcher block with a little help from mom, and it is now "repurposed" as my craft table (one of them).
